Can We Challenge You?

Hi There,

Believe it or not, a new school year is just a few weeks away. While it’s tempting to spend the rest of the summer relaxing (and you absolutely should enjoy it!), this is also the perfect time to build a few simple habits that can make your next school year less stressful and far more successful.

The good news? You don’t need a complete life makeover. Sometimes, one small habit is all it takes to get ahead.

3 Habits That Can Change Your School Year

1. Read Something Every Day

Spend just 15–20 minutes reading a book, article, or educational resource. Reading improves your vocabulary, strengthens your critical thinking, and helps you become a more confident learner.

Always on the go? No problem. Try listening to an audiobook or educational podcast while you’re helping around the house, traveling, or relaxing.

2. Plan Your Day

Before your day begins, write down your three most important tasks. Having a simple plan helps you stay organized, manage your time better, and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

One of our favourite planning tools is Notion. Whether you like keeping things simple or planning every detail, it’s flexible enough to fit your style.

3. Take Care of Your Mind and Body

Your brain works best when your body does too. Get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, eat well, and make time to move.

With the warm Bahamian summer weather, one of the best times to get outside is in the evening, just before sunset. A short walk, bike ride, or even a few stretches can help you clear your mind and recharge before the next day.

Your 7-Day Challenge

Choose just one of these habits and stick with it every day for the next seven days.

Don’t worry about being perfect. Just focus on showing up.

When school opens, you’ll already have a head start while everyone else is trying to figure out their routine. Small habits, practiced consistently, often lead to big results.

Teachers are planning. Principals are planning. Schools are planning. Even government officials are...
