Not My Usual Email — But These Bahamian Students Deserve a Chance

Hi There,

This email is a little different from what I would normally send.

Usually, I'm sharing GLAT, BJC or BGCSE educational resources, courses, or tutoring opportunities. But sometimes there's an opportunity so meaningful that it's worth stepping outside the usual lane for a moment.

A group of talented students from the Performing Arts Department at St. George's High School in Freeport, Grand Bahama, has been invited to attend the International Music Camp in North Dakota this summer.

For many of these students, this would be their first time traveling internationally and performing on a global stage.

I've attached a short video so you can hear directly from the students and see why this opportunity matters so much.

The camp will provide professional training in musical theatre, choir, dance, and guitar.

It gives these students exposure, confidence, mentorship, and experiences that can genuinely shape their futures.

However, the challenge is funding. The cost is approximately $4,000 per student, and the school is currently raising support to help make the trip possible.

If you'd like to help, you can donate here:

Every bit counts, no donation is too small or large. If you can't donate right now, would you be willing to share the fundraiser with someone else? That could make a real difference.

Thanks for taking a moment to watch the video and support these students.

Warm Regards,

Hi there, I’m a planner. There’s nothing I enjoy more than taking a few hours each week to plan academics, work, wellness… basically everything. 😄 But I realize planning isn’t something everyone loves. It takes time and it takes thought. And for some people, it’s just plain old boring. But a new school year is upon us, and whether we like it or not, planning is happening. Parents are planning. Teachers are planning. Principals are planning. Schools are planning. Even government officials are...

Hi There, Believe it or not, a new school year is just a few weeks away. While it’s tempting to spend the rest of the summer relaxing (and you absolutely should enjoy it!), this is also the perfect time to build a few simple habits that can make your next school year less stressful and far more successful. The good news? You don’t need a complete life makeover. Sometimes, one small habit is all it takes to get ahead. 3 Habits That Can Change Your School Year 1. Read Something Every Day Spend...

Hi There, Every teacher spends countless hours creating lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, revision guides, presentations, and classroom activities. Most of those resources are used once… then sit in a folder on a computer. But what if they could continue helping students, and earn you additional income at the same time?
